SKAM soldering plates - Special specification

AUGUSTA Skam soldering plates are energy-saving products with a wide range of uses up to 1,100 ºC and show only slight shrinkage within this application temperature. In many cases, they are ideally suited for use in direct flame exposure.

An essential factor for the product stability as well as the high application temperature is the sole use of a specially developed potassium silicate. The AUGUSTA Skam solder plate is absolutely resistant to carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons and is therefore suitable for use in inert gas atmospheres containing CO and CH4. The material is practically sulphur-free, shows very good properties when exposed to acidic vapours and is chemically resistant to molten aluminium, heating oils and sulphurous condensation water. The material does not dissolve in water, the technical values remain unchanged after drying out. - Very high electrical resistance.
