High temperature light block, manufactured in the hydraulic pressing process.
The block is non-toxic, odorless and dust-free and contains no asbestos or other fibers. Skam is an energy-saving product with a wide range of uses up to 1,100 ° C and shows only a slight shrinkage within this application temperature. In many cases ideally suited for use with direct flame exposure.
Fireproof and heat-resistant, asbestos-free solder block or solder pad for all welding and soldering work. Heat resistant up to approx. 1100 ° C.
The SKAM material does not dissolve in the water, the technical values remain unchanged after drying out.

AUGUSTA Skam soldering plates are energy-saving products with a wide range of uses up to 1,100 ºC and show only a slight shrinkage within this application temperature. In many cases ideally suited for use with direct flame exposure.
An essential factor for product stability and the high application temperature is the sole use of a specially developed potassium silicate. The AUGUSTA Skam soldering plate is absolutely resistant to carbon monoxide and hydrocarbon and is therefore suitable for use in protective gas atmospheres containing CO and CH4. The material is practically sulfur-free, shows very good properties when exposed to acidic vapors and is chemically resistant to molten aluminum, heating oils and sulfurous condensation water. The material does not dissolve in the water, the technical values remain unchanged after drying out. - Very high electrical resistance.
