** The Cooke triplet is a three-lens objective that corrects chromatic aberration for two wavelengths plus astigmatism. Triplet is engl. for triple, treble or even three-liners. The Cooke triplet is a classic lens design. It was first described in 1893 by Harold Dennis Taylor and named after its employer, the company Thomas Cooke & Son.
The magnifying glass is integrated in a solid aluminum housing and can be turned out of the protective housing by means of a Clic-Lock. The surface is resistant to scratches.
