The PRESIDIUM ARI is developed as a handheld Diamond Verification Instrument ® to help identify colourless diamond against CVD/HPHT lab grown colourless diamond and all types of moissanite.

It is suitable for testing on both loose and mounted stones, including jewelry pieces with a closed back setting.

Through advanced proprietary technology, ARI measures the UV light absorbance ability of diamond and moissanite. With its touch screen colour LCD display, ARI provides a clear and accurate result of “Diamond”, “CVD/HPHT/Type IIa” and “Moissanite” within 3 seconds. Simulants or glass stones are recognized as diamonds.

Can be tested:

Distinguishes colorless diamonds and D-J color moissanite from CVD/HPHT lab grown diamonds and all types of moissanite including the new low conductivity moissanite.
Suitable for testing both loose stones and all types of set jewellery. This includes open/closed back rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc.
Tests of cut diamonds and moissanite of all proportional cuts from 0.02ct and up to 10ct. Immediate results within 3 seconds.

Simulants or glass stones (zirconia) are recognized as diamonds.
Cubic zirconia stones have a UV light transmittance similar to that of diamonds. For this reason, the ARI also recognizes the pieces of jewelry as diamonds or as moissanite. The ARI provides a clear and exact result between diamond, CVD/HPHT/Type IIa and moissanite. Not more. For this reason, a diamond tester such as the Presidium Adamas or Multitester III must be used before using the ARI.
If these devices do not detect a diamond or moissanite, i.e. show no reaction, this is a sure sign that you have a glass stone in front of you and you do not have to test further with the ARI.
