STUDEX uses surgical steel. This is a stainless steel with the designation 316L. Like all types of steel, this steel also contains nickel. However, the nickel release of our plugs and earrings is well below the maximum value of the EU-Reach regulation, so that they are considered anti-allergic and are well suited as first and follow-up earrings. This steel is also used in medicine, for example for surgical implants that remain in the human body for a lifetime without causing harmful side effects.
