The following items cannot be used in an ultrasonic cleaner:
Objects that have cracks or scratches (cavities are usually porous and can be enlarged by the ultrasonic bath)
All gemstones with a porous surface and all sensitive gemstones (e.g. amber, hematite, lapis lazuli, malachite, opals, emeralds, black onyx, turquoise, etc.)
Gemstones
Pearls, mother-of-pearl and corals
Costume jewelry, especially silver-plated or gold-plated costume jewelry
Mechanical watches with automatic winding
Glasses that have a soft material on the ear hooks

The best cleaning effect is achieved:
When cleaning, add a few drops of mild detergent or liquid soap (not for CDs, DVDs and BluRay discs).
Place items to be cleaned directly in the stainless steel tray and do not use a plastic tray, this increases the cleaning effect by approx. 50%.
However, with metal objects, contact with the stainless steel tub can cause discoloration at the contact points between the tub and the object. Therefore, they should always be placed in a Hostalen container (plastic container).
The ultrasonic bath can be repeated several times with fresh water. Take a break of at least 2 minutes between cleaning cycles.
Smaller residues of dirt on the objects can be rubbed off with a damp, soft cloth after the ultrasonic bath.
